Kaser Family Genealogy Forum

I'm looking for a Kaser male who is a purely paternal biological descendant of John Frederick Kaser (21 Feb 1857 - 6 March 1944), and who would be willing to take a painless mail-in cheek-swab DNA test. I'd make the arrangements and cover the fees for the first person willing to do this. Anyone interested in discussing this should contact me by email. I think I can convince you that the privacy implications can be kept minimal.
The purpose is to establish 12 DNA values (numbers) that all male Kaser descendants of our immigrant ancestor (John Ulrich Kaser, father of John Frederick Kaser) share. I descend from John Frederick's brother, Oliver J. D. Kaser. I've already been tested, and if my 12 numbers match those of a descendant of John Frederick's, we can be reasonably certain that we know John Ulrich's DNA values.
It's important to know John Ulrich's DNA values, because this can help confirm (or throw into doubt) whether we have linked to the correct family in Switzerland. The "paper trail" to Niederbipp still looks reasonably convincing to me, but it isn't ironclad.
