Joseph Kaser, b. 1827, is my great-grandfather. He was born in Pennsylvania. In 1847, he married Catharine SAMSEL/SAMPSEL. His son, Clifford KASER (b. 1867 in Ohio,d.1930 in Ohio) married Mary Isador BUTTS, (b. 12/22/1869, d. 1926 in Ohio) According to the 1880 census, Joseph Kaser's parents were born in Pennsylvania. Anybody have any clues about the earlier generations of this line?
I'm trying to find when they came to the U.S. My father always said they were German/Dutch.
