According to information that Owen Kaser sent me some years ago, Jessie Oliver KASER is the brother of Lillie May HALE (nee KASER), so you are also descended from John Ulrich KASER.
From my research in the Swiss records, John Ulrich KASER was born Hans Ulrich KASER in the village of Niederbipp in canton Bern in Switzerland on 26 November 1828 and was the son of Jacob KASER (b 6 Feb 1791 in Niederbipp, d 27 Feb 1842 in Niederbipp) and Anna Maria SCHONNMAN (b 13 May 1803). I am descended from Jacob's younger brother Daniel; their parents were Daniel KASER (b 10 Feb 1760 in Niederbipp, d 29 Jan 1838 in Niederbipp) and Verena KUMMER (d 12 July 1822 in Niederbipp). Daniel KASER Sr was the son of Hans KASER which is where the civil records (called the Burger Rodel) stop. I haven't got into the church records yet, but these go back about another 100 years. The earliest record of the Kaser family in this area is to a Hans Kaser in 1464 who owned the farmstead at Walden on the hillside above Niederbipp (with wonderful views of the Alps on a clear day!).
I'd love to learn more about both your and Paul Hale's connections to the Kasers if you'd care to make contact and I'll tell you more about your Swiss roots!
