I'm looking for BERNHARD/Bernhardt who goes by at least six different spellings -- KASTEN, KASSON, KESSON, KEPON, KISTNER, etc. He dies in Milwaukee in 1899 at the National Home for Disabled Veterans.

His second wife, Johanna SCHUH EHLINGER, is my ancestor and it is her death I'm trying to confirm.

I believe Bernhardt had two childredn from his first marriage (I have no info), while Johanna Ehlinger had 5 Ehlinger kids. They had at least one child together who appears not to have lived much past 1870.

The couple was married in Manitowoc Co in 1867. Bernhardt was from Oldenburg, Germany.
