My Great-grandfather, William Karl Frederick Kasten came from "Neckelberg", (May be Mecklenberg - don't know) Germany back in 1862 when he was 19 years old. He came alone to Caledonia, MN, but don't know if there may have been brothers that came with and would have settled in other places. I have quite extensive list of decendents. William's father was John Frederick if that helps. William was born June 10, 1843. I hope this connection helps - both of us.
