My Mother Irene Clara "Kasten" Waska was a Kasten decendant. Her GG Grandfather should be a Johann Kasten, Wife Dorothea born Hacker, shown on a marriage reg. cert.Aug. 15, 1856, Manitowoc Wis. Can only find a Johan KARSTON, and Friedericke.
Is a Karsten and Kasten just transcribing errors, or do to errors due to accents? I do have a marriage Reg. Cert. shows Karston, yet some other info on same fits.
