Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Hello Dawn,

Albert homesteaded in South Dakota, and had an unfortunate accident while cutting long grass with a cycle and horse team. He cut off one foot, when the horses spooked and jumped forward.

He did have four children - they are:
       Alma; Carl, Reinhold, and Paul
       1914 - 1918 - all in SD.

Some have resettled in MN, and some in KS.
