My ggrandmother was Wilhelmina Volkmann, who came with her parents and two brothers, to the US in 1872. She was born December 1, 1868 in Neupotz, Germany, to Charles & Mary Kasten Volkmann. That's all I know, except that she married Frank Weisenburger here in the states.

I do know that they were Evangelical Lutherans. The Weisenburger line has been traced back to the 16th century using church records. I don't know of any one else in my line looking for the Kasten connection.

Hopefully this will lead to more information for both of us.
