Hi Mike,

I don't know if our Kasten families could be the same or not. I suppose they could be using different names (nick-mames, legal, etc.) at different itmes.

I found Claus Kasten listed with William Kasten as "father" on the 1920 census. Also listed is William's wife, Anna, and children Glynolyn and Marvin. Glynoln is my husband's grandmother.

On William and Annie Kravenger's 1909 marriage registration, William's father is listed as Claus and his mother a Minnie Cherbowski. They were living in Lake Town. On the 1900 census, I found Claus Kasten, resident of Lake Town, with Wilhelmena as wife (b. Aug. 1847 in Germany) and children William and Alma H. I haven't yet found them on the 1910 census.

I did find a birth record for a Alma Minnie Augusta Kasten, born 13 Mar 1995, in Milwaukee, WI, father Bernhardt Kasten. A and record for Willie Kasten, born 29 Nov 1887, Milwaukee, WI, father Hernrich Kasten and mother Mina Sakoski.
