I am researching the family of Henry Casner and his wife Jincy Jane Fields. They were married April 1822 in Ray Co., MO and had twelve children-some born in MO others born in IA. Henry died in 1847 and in 1852 Jincy and most of the family migrated to OR.
There are four sons that simply disappear from all records. Most of the family was illterate and the spelling of the name may have morphed into something else (Kasner, Kastner, Kestener, Kistner, Carsner, etc.).
Would like to communicate with anyone who might have information on the following persons.
(1) Benjamin Casner born in 1824-the last record of him is in April 1846 when he votes in Marion County, IA.
(2) Ebenezer Casner born in 1827 - the last record of him is in April 1849 when he receives a severe beating from locals of in Marion County, IA.
(3) James Casner/Carsner migrated to OR in 1852 with the rest of the family; married twice in OR, the last time in 1883; this last marriage is the last record of him.
(4) Henry Casner - born in 1840; last record is in OR in 1864 where he signs as a witness to some land claims.
