John Kathan of Roxbury 1734

Worcester Co Deeds show that on November 16, 1734 Thomas Beard (he would have been 27), James Hart, both residents of Leicester and John Kathan of Roxbury in the Co of Suffolk were partners in buying 165 acres of land in the “southerly part of the Easterly Half of the Town of Leiceseer in the County of Worcester and easterly of the Pedas(?) Swamp called Hog ---- and bounded Northerly by land”.... from Richard Southgate of the Town of Leicester. (see copy in my files, the writting is crowded and difficult to deciefer completely) The group bought the land for 165 pounds to divide into thirds.

Would someone know where this John Kathan came from and if he was related to Beard or Hart. Thank you very much
