I have been researching the visscher family,along with my husband. Jose (josephine)B Kathan was my husbands Grand motherand the daughter of John A Kathan and Keziah Lestine Rice.Josephine was born 1873 and passed away in 1963.She was married twice,Edward hodges and Samuel Gilroy.Had thirteen children. She is at rest in Lake Luzerne cemetery,NY,with her sister Minnie 1868-1915,who married Harry Goodwin. Looking for mor info on John Kathan.If I can help you with any info on Josephine just email me.
