Sometimes noted as Harley E Kathan, Edson was b. Sheldon, NE 20 Aug 1890. His mother, Sarah Ellen Goodrich, b. OH c1851, noted in 1860 census of Waynesville, IL with incorrect age, left home by 1870 (age 18 in 1870), back with parents in 1900 census of South Homer, IL with 9 yr. old son Edson. Edson had son Robert Harlow Kathan. Anyone know who Edson's father might be? These given names should be familiar to Kathan descendants from Dummerston, VT, but I can't pin this down.
