I've gotten quite a bit of info, too much to post. Edson was the son of Nelson H. Kathan, a disabled (blind) Civil War vet. I'm awaiting pension info from National Archives now. Please contact me directly at my email address (jet1@mainstreetcom.com - yes, it's com.com) and I'll send copies of what I have. For Edson, I've only been able to find two of his children, Robert P and Dick. Maybe you can help me there?
