I don't know where to even begin. I have been searching for Kathan family 'directly' related to me for years ! I have come across Kathans in my searches but always hit dead ends. The people I found were Kathans all the same but had different relatives and were not MY Kathans. My name is Edie Kathan. My grand-parents were Edson & Edith Kathan. They are deceased and buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana. I thought for years now that I was the "last" Kathan in my line. My Father was David Lee Kathan, My aunts & uncles are: Robert, Charles, Bud, Franklin (who died in war long ago) Lois, Ruth and Betty...all were Kathans and all have been laid to rest. I may have forgotten a name or two. I was very young when when some or most passed, which is why I'm here. I guess you can imagine how excited I was to see your post. So I'm Guessing You're my long-lost cousin. I would LOVE to talk to you seeing as I thought I was the "last one" Please call or respond to this e-mail. Hope to talk to you soon. Edie Kathan
