For anyone that's interested a Kathan Family Reunion is being planned for 2002 in Putney, VT. (Descendants of Captain John Kathan)

There is a homegrown webpage being put together by the planners (my parents) B. and J. Kathan. The URL to that page is http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/jckccoa/myhomepage/index.html (hint: make sure the link is on one line without a break before you click on it).

There is also a link to the Reunion page at the Town of Putney web page -
http://www.putney.net/comserv.html

Here is some of the info from the webpage
------------
Kathan Reunion Information:
We hope to have a Kathan Family reunion in 2002 in Putney, VT, and are looking for other Kathans in the US and Canada who are descended from Captain John Kathan, who first came to Putney, VT, in 1752 from the Worcester, MA, area. (He had come from England in 1729 to Boston with his wife, Martha Moore, and child, Alexander, who was born on the ship, and lived in Roxbury, MA first and then moved to Worcester. We believe he had a Scottish and/or Northern Irish heritage. He was the first settler of Dummerston and then Putney, VT. )

Planning Contact:
B. Kathan, Prospect, CT is organizing the reunion and welcomes help and information. Putney is celebrating its 250th anniversary in 2002 and we are working with the Putney Historical Society. Captain John Kathan was the first settler of Dummerston and Putney, VT. Please contact Joyce Kathan at this e-mail address (jckccoa@aol.com ) if you are related or have information to share.
