correction to my answer
Edson Kathan b. 1811, and Caroline Grimes is correct.
Edson Kathan b. 1815 to Harriet Gills , is correct, Their son Nelson Horatio Kathan was married to Mercy Jane Parks, and Sara Jane King.

But both of these Edson's are from Daniel s/o Capt John Kathan
