To persons interested in John Kathan's grave. It was originally in a small family cemetery in Putney , but later the family erected a monument to him in the East Dummerston Cemetery. The Putney Historical Society has worked for the last several yars to clear underbrush and the entrance is behind someone's home The graves are only stones which are not very visible. Hopefuly some time in the future the graves can have a fence placed around them. If you go to the Putney Web site, you can learn more about the cemetery location. My husband and I had hoped to have a Kathan reunion in Putney in the summer of 2002m but the town is not delebtrating its anniversary until 2003. Please contact me with your e-mail so I can add you to the list of interested persons. Donna Kathan Allen and Vicky Storlie have been very helpful, but some of the e-mails we have have been changed and we don't have udpdated ones.
