Hi Richard,

I don't know if I can help you much.
All my Kaulback ancestors came from Boston area and their were William, Hugh,and I had a uncle born here in New York by the name of Leon Henry b.1895. He was a native here and never lived in Boston. Our family in Boston owned a Tannery. My line is Willian George, William Caleb, William Henry, Hugh William, William Henry born on Nova Scotia and Johnson Kaulback(Colbeck) who was a German Immigrant born 1760.
