Doris: I just found your message regarding Jos. Kaup. Joseph is my great-grandfather. His daughter Laura, married to George DeWald of Pottsville are my grandparents. Unfortunately, I too am searching for Joseph's parents, without much luck. I am also trying to find the parents of his wife Mary, who was born in Wales. I have messages all over the place! Jacob KAUP was born about 1790 in Brunswick Twp [over 14 in 1805].Son of Christian and Catherina KAUP
He appeared in the census in 1810 in Brunswick Twp.Neighbors are landholders at what is now East Brunswick near Friedens Church. Four Households removed from William Dornbach. Next household to brother Christian KAUP andAdam and Jacob Quillman.
