John Kavanagh Liverpool 1900's

Trying to trace info about my Uncle John Kavanagh. He married my Auntie, Mabel Singleton (called Olive)possibly in the late 1930's. They had one daughter, Barbara. After being in the Army he ran a Barber's shop Walton/Fazakerley area of Liverpool, sited on a main road. He had a brother called Jimmy (?) whom I believed died at sea during the war. The Barber's shop was a family concern. I am assuming his parents came from Ireland, but not really sure.
Sorry for such vague info........Pat
