Looking for any info on my Great Grandfather, Michael. Born 1870's died 1930's, first wife Brigit died in birth of twins, one of whom survived (Bridey) They lived in Charloment place Dublin and had several children, including my grandfather James. His sister Theresa was shot by the Black in tans during the troubles. The bullet passed through her friend (6 years old) who died and then into theresa(7 years old) My Great grandmothers maiden name is Mooney and she came from Fuller cottages Harolds cross. Most of her family emigrated in the late 1800's. She had been married to an english soldier who died in teh Crimea war. My great grandparents were married in the Rathgar / rathmines area. My grandfather told my father that the family hailed from The Wicklow / carlow area in the vicinity of the Old Military road that runs from Glendelough to baltinglass. he had two sisters , Elizabeth and Mary. His mothers maiden name is Rose Nowlan. Any of this ring a bell?
