Kavanaugh in Newfoundland

Hi, I'm trying to trace back my family history. I am trying to find Michael and Bridgett Kavanagh (it may be a different spelling) who came to Newfoundland in the late 18OOs to early 1900s. They had several children: Michael, Tom, Kay (or Katherine), Nancy, Joan, and Madonna. My grandmother was Nancy and we visited her siblings. I wasn't very old at the time, like 11, but we flew into St. John's, so I'm going to guess they are in that area. If anyone has any information on Michael and Bridgett I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
