Hi I am researching my GG Grandmother Esther Kavanagh and her Father Gerald Kavanagh.
Esther Patrick Flaherty in 1871 in Dublin. At that point, on her marriage record her father Gerald was not listed as deceased while her huband's was. By 1889 when Esther died, her father had passed away. I cannot find Esther's birth record to find out the name of her mother. I am having great difficulty finding information about Gerald Kavanagh. Interesting enough that on Eshter's marriage record to Patrick, her maidan surname was spelled with a "C" wheras on the same record her fahter's surname is spelled with a K. I did find a death record for a Gerald Kavanagh in Cork. I have no evidance of Esther hailing from Cork. I have searched Griffith's Valuation for DUblin and cannot find any Gerald Kavanagh's. Does anyone out there have info???
