John J Kavanagh bornin 1826 married Nannie Frances Byrne in Dublin 11 June 1847. John was a member of the Young Irelanders and involved in the revolt in Ballingarry Ir ON 1848. He fled to America via Harve France ind Nannie joined him several months later with their infant son. The settled in NY John helped form the37th volunteer Irish Brigade in NY and then during the Civil War he transfered to serve with Meagor in the 69th Irish Brigade NY. He was killed in the Battle of Anteium in 1862. At the time of his death they had 7 children. Does anyone have any information or a link to John and nannies children and decendants? Any information would be greatly appreciated. kk.
