I have read some of your post and wondered if you have any information on Memorial Kavanaugh who married Thomas Pollard in Craven County, North Carolina. I had thought she was a descendant of Charles Kavanaugh and Ann Coleman until I received a copy of DAR paper by a descendant who prove her line through his daughter Jael Kavenaugh born Mar 28, 1765 and died 23 Sept 1848. Jael was married to Peter Woods born 20 Mar 1762 in Greenbrier County, Virginia and died at Kelly Twp. Cooper Co. Mo 19 Sept 1825.

Until I received this proof on Feb 2, 2008, I did not know about any of the descendants of Charles Kavanaugh, Sr. and his wife Ann Coleman. Children listed on this paper are as follows:
Philemon b 1755
William b 1759 married Hannah Woods
Mary b 1767 married Joseph Ellison
Charles b 1760 married Frances Powell
Jael b 1765 married Peter Woods
Sarah Ann b 1775 married James Mills Moore.

Charles married Ann Coleman in 1755 in Madison County, Kentucky. Do you have any information Charles brother Philemon? I believe he is the father of my Memorial Kavenaugh. Will be happy to share any information you need to add to your records. These paper show Charles a PS VA and that he "Signed Oath of Allegiance and supplied beef to troups".

I live in Georgia and our Library has Virginia Genealogical Magazines where I am sure I can find additional information. I would appreciate any information you can give me regarding Philemon Kavenaugh, Sr. or Jr.
