I don't know whether you've had any success in the last three years, but Irving Kaye is a surprisingly uncommon name. FreeBMD - which has about a third of all registered births - has only one Irving Kaye at all, born Huddersfield (as are about half of all Kayes, and I'm one) in 1902.
