My ggUncle Joe traveled from Yorkshire to stay with his uncles - Charles & William Howard in Williamsport PA. They were lumber barons, among other things. Their sister was Sarah Howard Kaye, wife of and mother of a "Joseph". Joe Jr went to Washington with the Howard Lumber outfit in the early 1900's...he also married into the other side of the family (Rothfuss). I also recall a Kaye marrying into the Gibbs family. Would love to exchange family info, as I'm sure there's a connection. My Yorkshire Howard married Mary Woodhead, and I see there are some Woodhead/Kaye families in Yorkshire but haven't made any connections there.
