This would appear to be Jonathan Kaye bapt 25/03/1804 (NB British date format) in Holmfirth, son of Joseph Kay[e] of Holme.
There appear to be 3 siblings, Martha, bapt 05/09/1802 also in Holmfirth, William b 21/10/1806 in Holme, bapt 27/11/1806 and Hannah b 18/06/1810, bapt 05/08/1810. Hannah was my gg-grandmother.
I think these are all the children of the marriage of Joseph Kay [sic] to Lucy Kaye on 08/02/1810 at Almondbury. Lucy is given in the baptismal register as the mother's name for Martha and William. Martha and Jonathan are given the Kaye spelling in the register, Willian and Hannah are given Kay.
When Hannah married George Fawley, the Holme schoolmaster, she signed without the "e" although the register entry had been written up as "Kaye".
Lucy seems to have been the mother of an illegitimate child Sarah b 18/04/1797 bapt 30/04/1797 (Holme and Holmfirth respectively).
My only candidate for Lucy is the daughter, bapt 06/03/1773 in Holmfirth of David Kaye of Holme.
David was bapt 28/09/1740 in Holmfirth son of John Kaye of Home.
I have two candidates for Joseph. One is the son bapt 04/07/1772 in Holmfirth of Charles Kaye of Holme. The other is the son bapt 16/07/1775 in Holmfirth of Paul Kaye of Holme.
Charles was the son bapt 01/02/1746 in Holmfirth of Abraham Kaye of Holme. Paul was the son bapt 12/01/1754 in Holmfirth of John Kaye of Holme (I have no information as to whether this was the same John as David's father).
