My husband Alan charles had a grandfather william charles backhouse who we believe was born in kingston upon hull, sometime in the mid 1800's. His first wife (name unknown) died leaving we think about 6 children, one at least was called frederick. He moved to Cardiff with Frederick and later married Alice mary mortimer, by whom he had four more sons, Frank, Leonard, Edgar and charles, who was Alans father. Could sarah Kaye be the mother of our William ?.
