My mother was Jessie Hardwick Kaye (1896 - 1985) and her father was James Hardwick Kaye (1865 - 1940), both from Leeds, Yorks, U.K. I have GGF Alfred Kay (I think my Grandfather added the 'e') born Honley, Yorks, U.K. 1832, died Leeds, Yorks, U.K. 1915 m. Sarah Ann Wilson. Worked in cloth finishing trade with Hardwick Brothers. Alfreds parents were George Kay and Ann Booth (also from Honley). Very difficult to progress backwards due to a vast number of Kays with same names. I have lots of info from early 1800's onwards including a lot of detail on the Hardwick Brothers Cloth Finishing Mill in Leeds, Yorks, U.K. Anyone else with Kay(e) connections to Honley? Thanks, David John True.
