Hallo Bill,

I'd be interested to know your descent from the upper class Kayes in the Honley/Huddersfield area! As I expect you found, the area is full of Kayes and I suspect my great grandfather was near the bottom of the pile in Honley, hence his move to Leeds, Yorks to better himself which he did, becoming a partner in a cloth-finishing mill. Cannot find a Jane in my lists. Could you reply via Genforum please.
