Thanks for your information. None of it is familiar to me except the spelling of the name. I saw the name spelled "koehler" when I was stationed in Germany, but unfortunately during those years, I was not interested in family history. I did however ran across a fellow, can't remeber where he was from, but is was spelled Kohler and he pronounced it the same way I do mine. I think your Jacob was a brother to Michael. There were 3 brother that settled in late 1700's from Germany. It would nto surporise me if we'er just a branch off the same tree! Good luck in your search and thanks for replying to my posting!
