I was always told our Kaylor ancestors originally located in Cambria County with Prince Galitzin at Loretto. I never had more to go on until recently when I was told that Father Galitzen stayed with our Kaylor ancestors when he came to Pittsburgh, and an aunt had gone to Loretto to return a key he had left behind. Now I'm sure these Cambria Kaylors and my gggrandparents may be connected. This is the information I have: Aloysius Koehler B. 1794 immigrated from Wuerttenberg Germany in 1831 with his wife Josephine Kuntz Kaylor B.1793. His name was changed to Aloys Kaylor when he arrived in America. His five children travelled with him; Mary Elizabeth, John George, Marianna, Jacob, Zazilia, born in America were Christina, Edward and Joseph. Aloys Kaylor settled in Butler Co., PA and later moved to Allegheny Co., Pittsburgh, PA. His parents in Germany were Weiband Jacob Koehler and his mother was Amelia Maria Haas.

Can anyone connect with these Kaylor's?
