Margaret, I went to Kaylor school with your Mother, Grace Kaylor. She had 2 sisters: Rachel and Alice. We lived on the road leading to Joe Kaylor's home. Grace lived up at Cold Springs in Kaylor. The old Kaylor homestead that was there has been torn down. Gabe Kaylor's place is gone also. Jane Kelar/Kaylor married Joe McElroy and that place is torn down also. I think that Joe Kaylor's place is the only remaining Kaylor homestead left in the area. My Aunt married into the McElroy family that is married into the Kaylor family. I have some Kaylor obits. I was in touch with Alice Kaylor once but have lost contact.
I am not a Kaylor descendant but have much info on the family. Tom and Cliff Kaylor, Gabriel Kaylor's sons, came to my grandfather Bishop's house about every Saturday nite and they had some good euchre games.
