We have Army documents of our great uncle Steven A. Kealy, born Rollin, MI mustered into Civil War December 21, 1863, mustered out at New Orleans, La. Aug 20, 1865.
From Michigan to Civil War then on to Texas.
We're still looking for more of the WHY'S of the move from Michigan to Texas.
His brother, my great-grandfather John Nicholas, supposedly served in the Civil War, but we find no documents of him there.

Leonard Kealy - b. 1840
Thomas Herbert Kealy - b. 1849
Steven A. Kealy - b 1844
Are these children of Thomas and Henrietta?Thomas Kealy, son of Irish Immigrant Edward Kealy who married Susan Sturges in New Jersey in 1808
Then they moved to New York.
John Nicholas Kealy was born.
Then they moved to Michigan.
Then Civil War.
Then to Texas where my grandfather Joseph Clarence Kealy was born.
