Paul,
All that I really know is that my GG-Grandmother was a Sarah Kealey. She married Patrick Heaney, and they both died - I believe in the 1890's in Magherabuoy, Dungiven, Co. Derry.
I did recent receive transcriptions of about 60 letters written by various Heaney relatives to my G-Grandfather, James Heaney, in Philadelphia. There are quite a lot of references to cousins named Kealey, but I do not know exactly how they are related. They (or some of them) could be second cousins, and I am not sure which are brothers and sisters of each other, or who my Kealey GGG-grandparents might be.
The letters were written between 1886 & 1926. Some of the Kealey names mentioned include John & Ann of Lenamore; Phelimy Kealey's son John; and Catherine (Kealey) McCloskey.
If you think there might be a connection here, feel free to e-mail me at TimCarroll61@aol.com .
Tim
