Can any readers relate to the following info? Ellen Kealy was born/baptised on 20 November 1834 in Freagh, (RC Parish of Danesfort), which is in the town land of Moanteenmore, in the Civil Parish of Dungarvan, in the Baronry of Gowran, Kilkenny to Thomas Kealy and Judith Cashin. She had a sister, Alice (also known as Ally) who was born/baptised on 1 September 1843. Judging by the baptismal sponsors of her children, Ellen may also have had a brother called William Kealy and a sister called Anastasia Kealy.
Ellen's parents, Thomas Kealy and Judith Cashin were married in the RC Parish of Dunnamaggan, Kilkenny on 29 January 1834. Judith Cashin may have been born to John Cashin and Mary Hoyne on 25 May 1806 in the RC Parish of Clonmontagh near Urlingford. This supposition though, requires corroboration.
Ellen Kealy married Patrick Keeffe, son of Richard Keeffe of Stoneyford, Kilkenny in the RC Parish of Danesfort on 23 October 1861. They had 5 children born in Stoneyford and baptised in the RC Parish of Aghaviller: Mary Keeffe (30 Dec 1861-8 Dec 1934) who married John Raggett, Michael Keeffe,(B. 26 Nov 1863), Richard Keeffe,(10 Aug 1869-18 Jan 1936), Anastasia Keeffe,(21 Feb 1874-9 Mar 1941) and Thomas Keeffe (dates unknown).
