Hi Ron,
Kealy, as you already know is an Irish surname, though not a particularly common one. The greatest concentration of Kealys is in and around Tullow Co Carlow. Most Kealys that I know of come from or originated in the counties of Carlow, Kildare, Offaly, or Wexford. These are all bordering counties.
My father was born in Wexford in 1905. His father who died before I was born came from Co Carlow and migrated to Wexford where he met and married my grandmother. Your chances of finding an Irish ancestry is probably greatest in the region mentioned above.
