I find it very interesting that your father migrated to Oakland, from Ireland, the same time my Grandfather lived there. Could it be that his presence was the hook that got your father to move there? The family house was located on 52nd steet, in Oakland. I have seen atleast four spellings of my Great Grandfather's name, in records, located in Minnesota. We feel that our spelling does not reflect the proper spelling from the home country.
