I thought I would include a little on Cyprica's parents information. He was the 8th child of Thomas Lee Kearbey.
Father: Thomas Lee Kearbey b: 1800 in Swain Co., N.C.
died: 1880 in MO.
Mother: Nancy Jane Scott Kearbey b:1804 in Stokes Co., N.C. to Stephen Scott and Anna Connell. Nancy died: 17 Nov 1857 in Ten Mile Creek, Butler Co., MO.
They were married: in Stokes Co., Danbury, N.C. (Bondsman: Wm. F. Randlemon, Witness: Matt R. Moore). After several years in N.C. they moved by wagon train to VA. and then on to TN. They moved to TN. about 1830, lived near Nashville. Thomas Lee was a Methodist Preacher (circuit rider). He left for MO. about 1837 with brother Joseph. They stopped at Halloran settlement of Butler Co., MO. where Francis Marion II was born, 7 Jan 1839. (Francis M. II was my husband's g-grandfather) In 1839, Thomas Lee bought a large tract of land from the government for 25 cents an acre and erected a home near Ten Mile Creek, about 15 miles west of Poplar Bluff. He gave each child a large tract of land when they married. On June 6, 1850, Clerk appointed Thomas "Kirby" election judge in Epps Twp. Listed as a 59 year old blacksmith in June 1860 census. Reportedly, he and Nancy Jane are buried in the old Scott Cemetery in Butler Co.
Thomas Lee and Nancy Jane had the following children:
1. Cyprica Kearbey b: 13 Aug 1823
