John: It does seem that some where in some old paper work that my mom might have, a cousin of hers found the spelling of Keister in our earliest ancesters from Germany (or Prussia). I am in Louisiana presently on holiday and will attempt to search in the next few weeks once I am home in OK City. Feel free to e-mail...checking these postings has not been a regular habit (sorry).
