Well well, Granny Janie

Mary Jane Keay is a member of a Cellardyke family, who were gradually moving to Aberdeen.
In 1901 Mary Jane was a 20-y-o living in Torry, Aberdeen with her young brother David. Her parents Alex Keay and Mary ( Watson ) were still in Fife, lodging. Another brother Alex is awol.

Mary Jane ( known in the family as Janie ) married David Powrie in 1905. They had 5 children including my mother Mary ( May ). Janie died in 1924, and is buried with her husband and all 5 children in Aberdeen.

But I can't tell you anything about John Edmond, as I had never heard of him ! So please tell me more.

I have several photos of Janie and others in her family including her parents, but I don't know how to load on to this website, so if you want them you will have to send me your email.
