Dear David,

Greetings from Australia. At Christmas dinner yesterday we were going through some family treasures that are being distributed to the next generation owing to changing circumstances for my wife's parents. One piece was a portable inkpot fashioned from a small animal horn. It has the scotish thistle and the initials DK on the lid and David Keay Perth engraved in the band around the lip, supporting the lid hinge.

My mother in law now in her 80's said it came from her sister, Molly who died 10 years ago, family name McCulloch and that "Perth" was Scotland not Western Australia.

I would be pleased to know if this connects with anything at your end.
