Maurice
I am glad to hear from you. According to Ellen's death certificate her father's name began with a "C". We have heard it may have been Cornielus. Her mother is listed as Bridget Hanrahan. We believe that both were born in Co. Clare but unsure of where. Wm born 1847 Ellen 1855. Wm came to USA to Penn in 1865. I believe they were married in USA in Penn. where my grandfather John was born. Does any of this sound familar to you? We have Wm's immigration and naturalzation papers but the info is very general. Wm and Ellen had 12 children all who lived to adulthood. They raised their children in Chicago on the soutwest side if you are familar with Chicago. I am interested in keeping in touch with you and investigating my Keehan background. Let me know what you think.
Thanks
Susan
ps I have Hanarahans on my fathers side too. James Hanrahan who married a McManus. Both from Ireland lived in Albany, New York before coming to Chicago.
