Jerry: Levi was one of five or more Keele who moved to MO. From the info I have, Samuel Bayliss Keele and sons William A, Samuel B. Jr., John W., Henry Hudson, and Levi all moved to McDonald Co. Mo in 1860, and later moved to Central MO. around Sedalia after the Civil War. My great-grandfather Linza Keele (son of William A) was mustered out of the army in Warrensburg, and shortly afterward the family all moved up from southern MO., probably because of better farm land. Levi had seven children that I can find: Samuel B., John F., Louis(or Willis) H., Mary E., Nancy C., Emma A, and Ruth S. What info do you have about them being in Illinois. That is one of the blank spots about the family. I know they were from Coffee Co. Tennesse, but could not find out when they left. Do you have any info on who Samuel Bayliss's parents were? If you do would love to know. You can e-mail me at email@example.com.
