Don't know if connected to your Laura Bess Keele --
Lawson Leander Clements (sometimes called Laura) married Jackson Melton Keele in Bell Co., Tx. in 1889.

It appears something happened to this couple since 2 boys -- apparently their sons, Jessie (9) and Harvey (6) are shown as "orphans" on 1900 Bell Co. census with Lawson's brother's family -- my John William Clements.

Does this appear to be connected?
