I have KEEL/KEELE in Bowling Green KY so wonder if there may be a connection. All I have is disconnected bits of information somehow tied together by a surname and a place. 1)I have Carter Keel b 1801 (birthplace unknown) d Macoupin CO IL 1876, m Rachel Scott Flournoy December 21, 1824 Warren CO KY, surety posted by Abraham Keel. Carter Keel and family sold their Warren CO land in 1828 and removed to IL, first Montgomery CO then on to Macoupin CO where they settled in the early 1840's. 2) In 1834 Carter Keel's ward Mary Keel m Thomas Shannon in KY. 3) Abraham Keel m Nancy Flournoy with son William E Keel b 1830 Warren CO KY who m January 6, 1852 Sallie Taylor. 4) Esther Keel b 1800 m James Dishman ca 1820 Warren CO KY. 5) I have (undocumented Internet) that James Keel, a minister who m Mariah Shannon, had children James Jr, John, Abraham, Thomas, Isaac, Jacob, Asa, and Sarah or Sally.
