Hi, Gary -
I tried sending a post to your e-mail address, but I guess you've changed addy's, since my mail bounced back to me. So, I'll try reaching you here!

I'm a neice of Margaret and David Keelin, in NM. Margaret told me you all were in contact some time ago, about the Keelins who traveled from Barren Co. KY to Fannin Co TX.

Since they don't have a computer, and it seems there is so more info on the Web lately (census info, etc) I got a bee in my bonnet to help them out. When I began looking around, I saw your posts at GenForum during 1999 and 2000, and was wondering if you all (Keelin descendants) had made any new discoveries since then?

Do you know if James Bryant Keelin's father, William T., was in the Civil War? When I asked Margaret if they had gotten any Military or Pension records for him, she said they haven't been able to find out if he served. I plan to apply for the records anyway, and just see what they say, but wondered if you have done this yourself?

Thanks, Gary - or anyone else who has info!
Gayle Lockridge
