My Thomas Keelin/keylon/keeland was on the 1880 Roane Co Census : Keeland,Thomas 30, Harriet L 30, Manda 9, James M 7, Mary E 5 (my line),Crearo? 11 months, George W 19,Sallie J 16, Willliam Y 14, Sallie 60 (mother) - now I am not sure of the relation of George W, Sallie J and William Y to Thomas as my source didnt get that when she did the lookup BUT if all ages correct I doubt he was father to them as he would only have been 11 yrs old when he fathered George W. And Thomas's age is correct to be the Thomas Keelin son of Benjamin & Sarah on the 1850 census that was 1 yr old. I am wondering if there was 2 Thomas Keelins and they are getting intertangled as far as info on them. That has been known to happen. My Thomas & Harriet were married 30 yrs as of 1900. But I dont know when either died or where so cant any death certificates on them as yet. I did find their marriage certificate and wrote for it in Roane Co. May 04, 1869 which was confirmed that they did have it on file. Also I dont know Thomas's full name. It is interesting that there was a George W living with Thomas though 1880. George W would have to been born abt 1861, Sallie J born abt 1864, and William Y abt 1866. Guess I just need to get a complete detailed copy of that census to get relations and such. Ann
